Jordan Community Engagement
Impact International’s Jordan Community Engagement program uplifts refugees, children with disabilities, and underserved communities. Together with local partners, we focus on education, storytelling, and cultural exchange that celebrate identity and strengthen community bonds.
Key Initiatives
Community Storytelling and Cultural Preservation
Work with the Yemeni community in Jordan to document and share personal stories, helping people preserve their culture, celebrate their memories, and recover from trauma through storytelling and connection. In 2023, we visited 65 homes in 6 days, listening to families and sharing their voices to highlight the strength and humanity within their stories. To hear these voices, visit Al Yemen.
Community Collaboration and Inclusion
Work with Zarqa Life Center, Down Syndrome With Us, and Amman Arab University to promote inclusion, expand educational opportunities, and support families of children with disabilities through community-based programs and training.Education and Empowerment
Work with teachers, caregivers, and families to share knowledge, build confidence, and create inclusive learning environments where children of all abilities feel valued and supported.
Expanding Our Reach
While our current projects are making a meaningful impact, we are committed to broadening our work in Jordan. Impact International aims to:
Scale programs to reach more children and families in need.
Strengthen partnerships with universities, NGOs, and donors to expand our resources and capacity.
Advocate for the rights of refugees and children with disabilities, ensuring inclusion and equal access to opportunities.
